Will Genia blow for Rebels

The Melbourne Rebels will embark on their tour of South Africa without talismanic scrum-half Will Genia, who has suffered a hamstring injury.

Genia limped off in the 50th minute of the Rebels' 25-22 defeat to the Jaguares at AMI Park in Melbourne on Saturday clutching his hamstring.

Scans have revealed it is a grade one hamstring strain and that the 30-year-old will now miss the games against the Bulls and the Stormers on 21 and 28 April respectively.
