Argentina have included four European-based players in their squad for Saturday’s Rugby Championship match against New Zealand in Buenos Aires.
According to an aFP reprot, head coach Mario Ledesma has named Stade Francais fly-half Nicolas Sanchez, Bordeaux-Begles winger Santiago Cordero, Toulon back-row Facundo Isa, and Saracens prop Juan Figallo in a 30-man squad but omitted Racing 92 winger Juan Imhoff.
The Argentinian Rugby Union recently relaxed restrictions on players, who ply their trade outside the country, from representing the Pumas.
Another foreign-based player, Castres fly-half Benjamin Urdapilleta has also been left out of the squad for the game All Blacks game but he is injured and is part of Ledesma’s preliminary Rugby World Cup group.
Most of the squad to face the All Blacks consist of players from the Jaguares, who lost to the Crusaders in the Super Rugby Final earlier this month.
Centre Lucas Mensa is the only uncapped player in the squad.
